- Step 1 · Letter to Cecktinon — Bring Karrod's Letter to Cecktinon — Darkelven Town — Take Karrod's Letter to Abyssal Celebrant Cecktinon in the Shilen Temple.
- Step 2 · Visit Harne — Bring Cecktinon's First Voucher to Harne — Darkelven Town — Bring Cecktinon's voucher to Magister Harne in the village.
- Step 3 · Gather Bone Fragments — Collect 10× Bone Fragment from Skeleton Hunter, Skeleton Hunter Archer, Doom Soldier — Bring Cecktinon's Second Voucher, Bone Fragment to Harne — Darkelven Town — Kill the skeleton undead at the School of Dark Arts southwest of the village and bring 10 Bone Fragments to Harne for the Soul Catcher.
- Step 4 · Bring the Soul Catcher — Bring Soul Catcher to Cecktinon — Darkelven Town — Give the Soul Catcher to Cecktinon; he hands you Preserving Oil.
- Step 5 · Get a Zombie Head — Collect 1× Zombie Head from Marsh Zombie — Bring Zombie Head to Cecktinon — Darkelven Town — Kill Marsh Zombies in the swamp until you get a Zombie Head, then bring it to Cecktinon.
- Step 6 · Return to Karrod — Bring Steelbender Head to Karrod — Darkelven Town — Deliver Steelbender's Head to Blacksmith Karrod to receive the Blood Saber and your rewards.
