- Step 1 · Visit Blacksmith Altran — Talk to Altran — Talk to Valkon — Talking Island Town — Talk to Blacksmith Altran, who sends you away. Ask Warehouse Keeper Valkon for hints: Altran's arthritis could be eased with a Mandragora Berry.
- Step 2 · Pick a Mandragora Berry — Collect 1× Mandragora Berry from Mandragora Sprout, Mandragora Sapling, Mandragora Blossom — Dion Castle Town — Kill Mandragora Sprouts, Saplings or Blossoms at the Mandragora Farm in Dion until you get a Mandragora Berry.
- Step 3 · Return to Altran — Bring Mandragora Berry to Altran — Talking Island Town — Give the Mandragora Berry to Blacksmith Altran. He gives you the Recipe: Journeyman Ring and two recommendations.
- Step 4 · Visit Warehouse Keeper Norman — Bring Altran's 1st Recommendation to Norman — Gludin Castle Town — Bring Altran's 1st Recommendation to Warehouse Keeper Norman in Gludin and offer to help him. He gives you Norman's Receipt.
- Step 5 · Visit Blacksmith Duning — Bring Norman's Receipt to Duning — Hunters Village — Give Norman's Receipt to Blacksmith Duning in Hunters Village. He lost the keys and asks you to get them back.
- Step 6 · Recover Duning's Keys — Collect 30× Duning's Key from Breka Orc Warrior, Breka Orc Overlord, Breka Orc Shaman — Talk to Duning — Hunters Village — Kill Breka Orc Warriors, Overlords and Shamans in Breka's Stronghold until you have 30 Duning's Keys, then report to Duning.
- Step 7 · Return the Keys to Norman — Bring Duning's Key to Norman — Gludin Castle Town — Bring the 30 Duning's Keys to Warehouse Keeper Norman and ask for Norman's List.
- Step 8 · Gather Gem Materials — Collect 70× Gray Bone Powder from Ghoul, Strain — Collect 70× Granite Whetstone from Granite Golem — Collect 70× Red Pigment from Dead Seeker — Collect 70× Braided Yarn from Silenos — Bring Gray Bone Powder, Granite Whetstone, Red Pigment, Braided Yarn to Norman — Gludin Castle Town — Collect 70 each of Gray Bone Powder (Ghouls and Strains), Granite Whetstone (Granite Golems), Red Pigment (Dead Seekers) and Braided Yarn (Silenos), then give them to Norman for 7 Journeyman Gems.
- Step 9 · Visit Blacksmith Pinter — Bring Altran's 2nd Recommendation to Pinter — Gludio Castle Town — Bring Altran's 2nd Recommendation to Blacksmith Pinter in Gludio. You must be at least level 36.
- Step 10 · Collect Amber Beads — Collect 70× Amber Bead from Ant, Ant Captain — Bring Amber Bead to Pinter — Gludio Castle Town — Kill Ants and Ant Captains in the Wastelands south of Gludio until you have 70 Amber Beads, then bring them to Pinter for 7 Journeyman Deco Beads. Scavengers get more by spoiling, and Artisans can craft beads from Amber Lumps.
- Step 11 · Craft the Rings — Collect 7× Journeyman Ring — Bring Journeyman Ring to Valkon — Giran Castle Town — Craft 7 Journeyman Rings with the recipe, then bring them to Warehouse Keeper Valkon to receive the Mark of Guildsman.
